Rock For People wśród pierwszej dziesiątki średnich europejskich festiwali
On Christmas Day, the dream of many Rock for People fans came true – the final window number 24 in the Rock for People advent calendar revealed rock band Papa Roach. With millions of sold records and a Grammy nomination, the Californian four-piece’s career has spanned over nearly three decades. “The name Papa Roach has resonated among our fans for quite some time now, so we are thrilled to make their wish come true,” says festival director Michal Thomes on the addition to the line-up. The calendar was very generous this year – aside from Machine Gun Kelly, the fourth headliner, it also revealed acts such as Simple Plan, X Ambassadors, Anti-Flag, or the already legendary Incubus. Once again, the line-up of the upcoming Rock for People – led by MUSE, Slipknot, Machine Gun Kelly, and The 1975 – shows that the festival is pushing boundaries and becoming one of Europe’s leading music festivals.
In addition, Rock for People has been included in the TOP 10 best festivals in Europe by the prestigious European Festival Awards in the category Best Medium Festival with a capacity up to 40,000 visitors. Perhaps an even bigger success is the inclusion of Ameba Production in the TOP 10 promoters in Europe in the category Promoter of the Year, along with Live Nation (GB), FKP Scorpio (DE), and Primavera Sound (ES). “It is great to see our work get recognized internationally – Rock for People has hosted several acts that are now in the TOP 10 best new artists at these awards, such as Turnstile, Holly Humberstone, and Yard Act,” says Michal Thomes.
